Barossa Valley
The first impression of the Barossa is often of vineyards in a manicured landscape spreading across the valley floor into the ranges, then wineries and church spires surrounded by the cluster of a small village or township.
Enjoy a short drive through the Barossa Ranges, where the natural bush land blends with the most recent high country vineyards and there is an outstanding view of the valley from Mengler Hill. On the crown of the range, Kaiser Stuhl Conservation Park provides excellent bush walking. The Heysen Walking Trail traverses the ranges as does the Mawson Cycling Trail.
The well preserved heritage of the region has been a catalyst for arts, crafts and antiques, including the industry craft of cooperage. Visit the galleries and studios, see the artisans in action and take home a piece of the Barossa. Some distinctive museums provide entertainment for the whole family, a blacksmith shop, a wine historical museum and the Wine Centre at Tanunda are good examples.
Mohair and alpaca farms, the hollow tree in which a family lived, a colourful lavender farm, the dam wall that carries whispers, performing sheep dogs, a world class performing arts theatre, fun parks mainly for children, golf, ten pin bowling, ballooning and wine tasting.
As you can see the Barossa Valley offers a little bit of something for everybody. For further information contact:

Bustling towns, acres of natural bushland, rows of vineyards and gorgeous gardens are just some of the diverse experiences on offer in the Adelaide Hills. Shop for souvenirs in the historic German town of Hahndorf, admire the nineteenth century architecture in Birdwood or Mount Torrens or head for the Mount Lofty Botanic Garden.
The Adelaide Hills encapsulates the best that South Australia has to offer and is comprised of a number of sub regions or areas, namely the Mt Lofty area, the Northern Summit area, the Torrens Valley, the Onkaparinga Valley, Hahndorf and Mt Barker.
