The event, that is a round of the Globalstar Australian Rally Championship, will be held in the Barossa Valley region and Mount Crawford Forest from August 5 to 7.

Mr. Foley said that this year's event would be the fifth to be promoted by the South Australian Motor Sport Board following a Government decision to support a round of the Australian Rally Championship in this State after a six-year break.
Mr. Foley said the rally in South Australia had set new standards in regard to spectator and corporate facilities in Mount Crawford Forest including a 'first' for rally with the introduction of a giant television superscreen to ensure fans could see all the action.
