| Well, what an effort! Another year rolls by, and I feel the bar has been raised once more. Building on the solid success of last year, we have had a great many positive comments from competitors, media, CAMS, spectators etc.

| As I write this, I am confident that there will be a 2005 event - and that an announcement will be made soon. Dates are up in the air, as I would love to get away from the depths of winter, but it is a very crowded calendar, so that may not be easy

| The best stage award was won by the team at RIDGETOPS, led by ROS FISHER. It was the stage that received most votes from the various judges. Mt GAWLER, led by PAUL FOWLER, and REDEX, led by JOHN RAMMERMAN, were well in the mix too. As these things can be decided by marginal factors, all three teams should be very proud of their efforts. There were also special mentions for SPECTATOR OFFICIALS led by LEYLAND GEORGE, SERVICE PARK led by FRANK CATLING, and FORTIES led by TREVOR FISHER

| I have prepared an "in Appreciation" certificate for each and every one of you, and, instead of sending them out, I would like to personally sign yours individually. To do this, I will be available at the Sporting Car Club all day on Sunday August 22nd - from 9.00 to 5.00 - so just drop in so I can meet you, and get your certificate done. There will be a continuous sausage sizzle and tapes of the weekend action will be showing. It would be appreciated if people could attend for their certificates in roughly stage groups as follows, just to make sure there isn't too much congestion 9.00am to 10.30am RIDGETOPS, 40S, LUCKY SNAKE AND MAIDMENT 11 am TO 12.30 pm REDEX, MCMAHONS, MT GAWLER 1.00 pm TO 2.30 pm HIGH EDEN, MAWSONS ROW, RETREAT VALLEY 3.00pm TO 4.30pm SERVICE PARK, SPECTATOR MARSHALS, ALL OTHERS Roll on 2005!! Cheers Ivar |
